Top 5 - Burt Reynolds Movies

Burt Reynolds has passed away at age 82. Here are what I consider his 5 best movies.

1. Deliverance
2. The Longest Yard
3. Boogie Nights
4. Sharky's Machine
5. (tie) Semi-Tough (tie) Gator

I find it funny that Reynold's supposedly turned down the role of Han Solo in Star Wars. I just can't picture him in that role. It should also be noted that I've never been a fan of Smokey and the Bandit (sorry - not sorry). On the flip side I think his TV show Evening Shade still doesn't get he credit it deserves. 

FWIW - Reynolds was also the star of my favorite GIF of all time.

Who in Boston could have guessed that going into March the Celtics would be better positioned to make the playoffs than the Bruins? The Celtics were supposed to tank this year to get a high draft pick. The Bruins were supposed to contend for the Stanley Cup... Peter King is a horrible human being...  Keith Olbermann was suspended by ESPN for comments made on Twitter. I'll say it again - after the masterful lampooning of Olbermann on SNL by Ben Affleck - Obermann became a joke to both the Left and the Right... Heh heh - What color is the dress?... "I went to my doctor and told him 'My penis is burning'. He said 'That means someone is talking about it.'" - Gary Shandling... Sad but fitting joke to the situation in Russia today... Who knew? Burt Reynolds was supposedly the first choice to play Han Solo in Star Wars....

Here's a Top 5 of things that were big in the 70's but now - not so much...

1. Burt Reynolds movies
2. People on TV in danger from quicksand. Did global warming dry up all the quicksand? When's the last time you saw someone on TV who had to be rescued from it? Used to happen all the time in the 70's.
3. The word "ghetto". Nobody uses the word "ghetto" today unless it is in the title of some bad black porn.
