I'm pretty convinced that Peyton Manning and his brother Eli only work out with Shake Weights... Heh heh - Time is a Flat Circus (only click if you are a fan of True Detective)... When a bathroom attendant uses the toilet - does he tip himself when he washes his hands?... The Red Cross raised more than $300 million for the victims of Sandy. How did they spend it? I've long held the belief that no executive or employee for a non-profit tax exempt organization should be paid more than the salary of the President of the US ($400,000). If you've got so much money flooding your coffers (no pun intended) that you're paying seven figure salaries - then you lose tax exempt status... Interesting article on what we're learning about the Killer Whales of Puget Sound...

Stuff I found interesting and thought I'd share.
- Andrew Jackson is thought of very highly by many but he did some truly horrible things. Should he be on the $20 bill? Should he be a liability for Democrats?
- Wow - how Killer Whales catch and eat much faster dolphins.
- Fascinating look at a great pilot, war hero and seemingly all-around great guy.
- Very cool picture of a Blue Heron with a snake rapped around his head and neck. (The snake would lose this battle.)
- Speaking of cool pictures - Jeff Bridges takes pictures on his film sets and they are just wonderful. HT Big Stupid Tommy
- Lowes uses Vine to make some very helpful household hints. The rubber band to get out a stripped screw is genius!

A Death in Florida
I feel badly for the family of woman who died at Sea World. I really do. I'm also kinda sick of the "what do you want - it was a KILLER whale" quips. I have to agree though that the people making those quips have a point.
The Killer Whale is the foremost predator in the world. Not even close. And we think we can use them for our amusement with impunity? Have we become so disconnected from reality to think that? The Killer Whale is a wild beast. Now we are supposed to be surprised when it acts wild? Wasn't that supposed to be part of the attraction in the first place?
Lion tamers used to be the big thing when circuses where the main attraction across the country. It was the element of danger and the fact that a tamer could get these kings of beasts to do anything on command that was fascinating.
I've seen the show at Sea World and I was entertained. Very entertained. But the older I get the more I'm fascinated by what these majestic creatures do in the wild and the more I'm saddened to see them captured and confined for our entertainment.
And I agree that reports that give the animal human traits are just silly. What's next reports that Tilly's neighbors all agree that she was quiet and kept to herself?
