Morgan Housel on incentives and how incentives can make rational adults do crazy or support bad things. 

It reminds me of the Upton Sinclair quote, "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon not understanding it." That's incentives.

Steve Kerr and China

I had been willing to give Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr the benefit of the doubt. No longer.

The guy said this just 2-years ago, "If you look at the history of the world, the biggest problems come when people don't speak." Now Kerr is a cross between Sargent Schultz's "I see nothing, I see nothing" character and an epitome of what Stalin termed a "useful idiot." 

I think Ethan Strauss of The Athletic (subscription required) may have nailed it with this quote"
