Charles Mann on The Americas Before Columbus

Very interesting discussion with Charles Mann, author of the book 1491, on what the Americas were really like before Columbus came to the "New World."

The taped discussion is about an hour long but very interesting stuff. Pre-Columbian Indian societies were much more complex than many people who would peddle the "noble savage" type history would have you believe. I'll be buying the book this week.
