Living History

I was touched by this post. Especially the words:

I am proud, and awed, too, to say that he is one of the Americans who saved the world from fascism and tyranny when everything dear to civilization was threatened with destruction.

Too often we forget the price that was paid for our freedom. Too little do we acknowledge the sacrifices of those who went before us. Those of us born in the US these past 40 years are the luckiest humans born anywhere at any time in history.
