Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Matt Taibbi: Alternatives to censorship. Let me also clarify that Twitter and Facebook are not utilities. You can lead a healthy and productive life without them

- VDH: The nature of Chinese Contempt for Us. The Chinese Communists have no friends - only subservients and enemies.

- The unexpected history and miraculous success of vaccines.

Child suicide is becoming an "International Epidemic" due to lockdowns. Where is the outrage?

- Interesting business model.

  1. I found Matt Ridley's article interesting. Here is a quote:

" Vaccine development, warned Wayne Koff, president of the Human Vaccines Project, in 2019, “is an expensive, slow and laborious process, costing billions of dollars, taking decades, with less than a 10 per cent rate of success…There is clearly an urgent need to determine ways to improve not just the effectiveness of the vaccines themselves but also the very processes by which they are developed.”

Not all vaccines have been safe or effective, but the problems are nearly all in the past. Vaccines are now safe and life-saving medications. The antivaxxer movement is as mistaken the mob that went after Dr Boylston."

I find it puzzling that the Doctor Koff's statement is disregarded in the next statement from Ridley, lumping people who may have doubts about a vaccine that was developed, not in years, but in months, and tars these people with the brush of "anti-vaxxers".

I am not sure what to make of Mr. Ridley's conclusion.
