The legal weed market in California (of all places) may be on the verge of collapsing.
High taxes, crime (and associated high security costs), and cheaper illegal options are cited as the major causes. I don't buy the "pot desert" excuse. Local communities that don't issue cannabis licenses probably weren't big markets anyway (nothing like a vote on cannabis to get pot smokers involved in a local vote for the first time).
