Matt Taibbi on how pandemic scare-coverage reached new heights, or depths, with Omicron. The article notes that Omicron "'reduces two doses of Pfizer to 30 percent effectiveness with AstraZeneca potentially down to zero.'" Supposedly boosters may "restore effectiveness to 75 percent."
Basically the variant reduces the efficacy of the shots to a coin-flip but with the specter of the vaccine side-effects as your wildcard. All for a variant which has been described as equal to getting a cold. No DEATHS have been reported worldwide from Omicron.
