I stopped rooting for Notre Dame when Brian Kelly left an undefeated UC team before their season was over to take that job. With Freeman, I can root for Notre Dame again. When Freeman was here in Cincinnati, you could see the bond between him and Fickell.
I started hating Notre Dame when they whitewashed the death of the kid filming effing practice when the scissors life was blown over. I haven't stopped hating them yet.

ReplyDeleteFickell's and Freeman's families are extremely close. Freeman seems like both a good coach and a good person. How can you not root for him?
ReplyDeleteRooted for Kelly because he got his coaching start in my hometown but the luster of that has worn off.
