Happy 96th birthday to funnyman and American icon Mel Brooks.
He served in the Army at the Battle of the Bulge clearing mines and saw combat. From a write up: "Brooks is one of the few people who have received an Oscar, an Emmy, a Tony and a Grammy."Quite a character.
I knew he served in the Army but thought he was an entertainer. Wasn't aware of him being in the Battle of the Bulge.
