Holy Cross College

Very little known fact - 70-years ago this week - Holy Cross became the first and still the only team from the Northeast to win the College World Series.

    Yes - couple of years ago some woke students wanted to change the name but alumni said "Change the name and we stop donating." Sanity prevailed.

    I went to the University of Maine and I am hopeful the mascot the "Black Bears" will remain intact.
