Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
After seeing those Dominoes pizza insurance commercials I've come to the conclusion that I'm too smart and coordinated to buy their pizza. However, your self-esteem may allow you make a purchase... Snow in space? Would also be a good name for an intergalactic cocaine smuggling thriller... Just a reminder - Barack Obama did not attend Nancy Reagan's funeral. Given the bad blood between the Bush family and Donald Trump - I think the situation at Barbara's funeral was handled properly... People are calling this taunting? If so this has to be the most polite taunting in NBA history. Watch Duke home games to see proper taunting... US oil floods Europe hurting Russia and OPEC offerings. Was this what Trump meant when he said trade wars are good and easy to win?... Vanderbilt University and every college in Nashville should step up and offer James Shaw Jr's daughter a full-boat scholarship to thank him on behalf of the entire Nashville community for his heroics at the Waffle House. It's the least that should be done for the man... On this day in 1915 the Armenian genocide was begun. How is it possible that the international community (including the US to our shame) still does not officially recognize that this happened?...

Linky Links
Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- Rob Gronkowski's heart really is in the right place
- A city's government losing the support of the police and fire departments is never a good sign (no pun intended)
- Good news as my prostrate maintenance regime is fully justified! Ernest Borgnine was ahead of his time!
- Interesting - how much does a cloud weigh?
- The way of the monastic warrior - lessons from Dick Winters
- Dick Van Dyke was one of the best physical comedians of all time. His grace was amazing!
- Why did people wear powdered wigs? It always comes down to syphilis and lice doesn't it?
- Story behind Bill Belichick wearing Armenian pin at White House. Good for Belichick!
- I want this print!
- MLB Players who use 80's music for their walk up songs. I would use God Bless America by Kate Smith just to confuse the hell out of the crowd.

Krauthammer, Pelosi and Apologies
Charles Krauthammer has a very good column today on Nancy Pelosi's resolution regarding the Armenian genocide.
As I was reading it - I couldn't help but think that if Nancy Pelosi is sincere about addressing past wrongs then maybe she will soon submit a resolution condemning the Democratic Party for its past support of both slavery and segregation. I mean the segregation part is much more recent history than the Armenian genocide and isn't it better to get the beam out your own eye (so to speak) first before making resolutions condemning others? I won't hold my breathe for that to happen though unless Pelosi can come up with a way to somehow make such a resolution an attack on George Bush.
