Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
I heard about what was happening in the Capital at 3:00 yesterday and for the rest of the day tried to avoid the news with the attitude "Not my clowns - not my circus"... Remember a few years ago when there was a movement to edit smoking out of classic movies? In a couple of years, if we're not careful, there might be a movement to edit masks onto contemporary movies and TV shows... Having said the above it was impossible to avoid pictures of Buffalo Guy - Dances with Morons. I hope everyone who stormed the Capital is identified and is charged with a minimum of 10-years in prison each... Don't look now but Nuggets Nikola Jokic is averaging a triple-double - 24 points and almost 12 rebounds and assists a game. Impressive... Tales of the lazy... It's been decades but now it bugs me to no end that in SIXTH GRADE my class was made to read Democratic socialist Michael Harrington's The Other America. Talking about trying to indoctrinate young impressionable minds. Sixth freaking grade! We should have been reading Encyclopedia Brown stories... Have a feeling the real truth about the last six months (including what happened yesterday) will take years to come to light...
