More Linky Links

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- IOC disqualifies Ukrainian Olympian. The IOC can ban an entire country but an athlete cannot remember other athletes killed in a war that caused IOC to ban Russia. Bizarre.

- From the archives: Mitchell Paige - the real life face of GI Joe. Where do we find such men?

- President Trump and Administrator Zeldin deliver single largest deregulatory action in US history.

- Tracking the efforts to shrink the size of the federal government. Think its wise to show this as just an effort to get back to the size of the government during the Clinton Administration.

Does the Federal Vaccine Mandate Actually Exist?

Interesting argument that it's not legally binding and certainly not a law.

I noted a few days ago that the federal guidelines for implementing the vaccine mandate included a large number of loopholes. Maybe that's because the lawyers behind this know the emperor has no clothes and the loopholes are in place because a hard and fast mandate isn't legal?

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

President Trump wants federal hiring to focus on skills over degrees. I support this 100%. I would also add that any federal job (including the US Post Office) should give preference to former active duty military personnel with four years of service and an honorable discharge over anyone with a liberal arts degree... Heh heh - excessive masturbation is hurting China's military. Wonder if this is one of the side-effects of China's one-child policy. All these guys and no girls. As the Brits would say, "Wankers!"... "Never discourage anyone who continually makes progress, no matter how slow." - Plato. Excellent advice... I can foresee the Trump Administration announcing a Free Trade Agreement with the United Kingdom sometime around September. Such an agreement makes a lot of sense and the timing would help both nations' economies recover from the damage caused by COVID-19...  "Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat, but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires." - John Steinbeck. I wonder if the author of The Grapes of Wrath would feel the same way if he could see today's entitled white upper middle-class and radicals...

EDIT: Just noticed that the China masturbation story was almost 3-years old (but it was new to me)
