Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Reforming Social Security: A how to guide.

- It's still the economy, stupid. The Trump Administration should meet with industry leaders and ask two simple questions: how do we make your product priced less for the public and how can we help you maintain profitability?

- Are we about to see a flood of Russiagate conspiracy subpoenas

- Did we have the secret to cheap energy for decades? And did China find it in our archives?

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- The drone canary in the M.I.C. coal yard. I'm reminded how Germany was forced to disarm after WW I but rearmed using the newest technology for WW II. Sure we did this to ourselves but who's to say we can't rearm better and stronger with the latest technology?

- Russiagate releases lifting the veil on surveillance state abuses. It's pretty damning.

- Igor Babuschkin on his last day at xAI.

- VDH: Who has been destroying Democracy? He's not wrong.

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- JD Vance predicts a lot of people will get indicted over Russiagate. Good!

- From the archives: Habits vs. Goals.

- Mystery of Atlantis deepens as discovery on ocean floor hints at ancient catastrophe. The Younger Dryas!

- Jonathan Turley: Media outlets criticized for false story on JD Vance. Compare this false story to the amount of space spent by the media on an actual bag of cocaine found at the Biden White House.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Russiagate - slight of hand disguised as transparency. Like the idea of calling "redacted documents" as "selective transparency" instead.

- From the archives: In praise of slownessSlow down. Read more books and watch less TV and for God's sake stop multi-tasking!

- VDH: Trump, Tariffs, Trade - and a Taboo? Wasn't aware of the Canadian oil sulfur content.

- It was an open secret. The Biden administration CHOSE not to do anything about it. And the corporate media CHOSE not to do any reporting on it.

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

At this point the White House Correspondents Dinner should just cease to be out of pure shame over how Russiagate has been handled. This, of course, would assume these folks had any shame to begin with... Sometimes there's little or no difference between physics and magic... Why hasn't Taylor Swift commented on the Mueller Report yet? What is she hiding?... Deep thoughts from Chris - could Dark Matter simply be the leftover quantum entanglements from the matter and anti-matter that was annihilated just after the Big Band?... Cult of Inhibitions - band name or all-inclusive singles resort?... I tried watching the new Amy Schumer Netflix special. I lasted just 15 minutes. It was awful. AWFUL!... What is Dark Matter? Even the best theories are crumbling. (Maybe that's because my hypothesis hasn't been tested yet!)

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Much of the reporting on Russiagate was based on anonymous sources. If the media that printed those stories do not now publicly burn those sources then the only rational explanation is that the MSM was just making things up as they went along... The last catch of Rob Gronkowski's career basically won the Super Bowl for the Patriots... "Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply." - Stephen Covey... So if there are separate trials could Mark Geragos represent Michael Avenatti and then Avenatti turn around and represent Geragos? That way neither could testify against the other due to attorney-client privilege... Some say hell is a man on an acoustic guitar playing Hotel California over and over. Extra crispy hell - that man is Chris Berman... Today we work less, have more leisure time and earn more. We live in an age of abundance... People who mention that Steve Jobs biological mother was an immigrant from a mostly Muslim country in order to support immigration never seem to mention that Apple would never have existed if she chose to have an abortion instead of opting for adoption. Funny how that works...

- Top 10 quotes from Bill Belichick on leadership. This was my favorite, "Talent sets the floor, character sets the ceiling."

- Heh Heh - this is true

- Rafi Eitan, 92, Israeli spymaster who caught Eichmann has passed. What a life.

- Normally not a fan of Matt Taibbi but this is damn fine reporting on the damage the media has done to itself over its Russiagate coverage. Long read but worth the time.

- The importance of persistence
