Just curious but I wonder if Aflac would cover you for time lost from work because you got injured participating in an "approved" riot but not if you had side-effects from a COVID vaccine? Actually a serious question... "ISIS-K" is 2021's "Latinix." Something someone somewhere invented which we are now supposed to believe is real thing people actually say... Will the next California Governor get to pick a replacement for Dianne Feinstein if the 88-year old Senator can no longer continue her duties? That's a very real consideration... Heh Heh... Wonder what has lower general approval ratings - the WNBA or Kamala Harris? Another (semi) serious question... I think one of the keys to a healthy and happy life is to avoid both processed food and processed information (i.e. social media). Eat real food and read real books... Maybe in 2022 "Whitix" will be the new "Latinix"... Who knew? Erwin Schrodinger didn't even own a cat... Why hasn't Taylor Swift commented on the Patriots cutting Cam Newton? What is she trying to hide?...

Things that make you wonder - Doctor explains 99.3% of COVID-19 patients treated with Ivermectin recover in five days. Is this true? Why haven't we heard much more about this? Is it because Ivermectin can be bought for as little as $17 while the vaccines are generating billions for big pharma? If the Dominican Republic does have a lower death rate from Covid than the US then people should be made to answer for that... Why hasn't Taylor Swift commented yet on MLB moving the All-Star game out of Atlanta? What is she hiding?... To be honest about Ivermectin - you're not supposed to drink alcohol when taking it so I'll probably get the vaccine instead... The fact that Lois Lerner never faced any criminal charges for the way she ran the IRS is further proof that there are two sets of laws in this country... A couple of years ago the media reported breathlessly about a "tiger" running loose in Manhattan. That "tiger" later turned out to be just a raccoon. If that's not a near perfect example of the fear mongering and inaccuracy of the media then I'm not sure what is...

There are no memorials planned tomorrow at Ground Zero because of the lockdown rules in NYC. All off-duty firemen and police officers should gather there tomorrow with "Fuck DeBlasio" signs. Who would arrest them?... Potatoes were forbidden in England until the early 18th century for the simple reason - potatoes aren't mentioned in the Bible. You know what else isn't mentioned in the Bible - England!... Probably not a good idea to criticize Elon Musk on Twitter... Is it ironic that many people who are against genetically modified foods in Africa and elsewhere somehow have no issue with the genetically altered strains of marijuana they buy in the US?... Who does Taylor Swift have in her NFL survivor pool? Why hasn't she commented on it? What is she trying to hide?... The way Hollywood is going I wouldn't be surprised if someone pitched a big-budget re-make of Paint Your Wagon starring the cast from Hamilton. It would make $0 at the box office but it could sweep the Oscars under the new rules...

The disinterest in sports and the cancellation of a number of college football conferences will have another effect that will have long term repercussions. Many people cling to cable TV mainly for the RSN's (Regional Sports Networks) such as NESN (Red Sox and Bruins), YES (Yankees), The Big 10 Network, etc. Look for the number of people "cutting the cord" to greatly increase in the next six months or so largely due to people not caring about sports or not having access to games to actually watch... Victor David Hanson on Who or What Exactly is Running Against Trump?. The line I really enjoyed was about Kamala Harris "hovering and rummaging about as in impatient President in waiting"... The revenue generated from the RSN subscription fees are largely what have driven the great increase player salaries over the past two decades. Now a lot of that revenue will go POOF. Look for pro contracts in baseball, basketball, and hockey to be for less money and fewer years in the near future... History repeats itself? A hundred years ago the most popular sports in America were baseball, boxing, and horse racing. Football, basketball and hockey were very much niche sports (with college football being much more popular than pro football). Today the UFC is gaining in popularity and has been the most popular TV sport during the pandemic while it could be argued that basketball and hockey are reverting to niche sports... What does Taylor Swift think about the choice of Kamala Harris as VP? How come she hasn't spoken out? What is she trying to hide?...

This may sound morbid but I was wondering if former NBA Commissioner David Stern would be included in the Oscars In Memoriam tribute. But I was surprised to find that although Stern has a lengthy IMDB page it was all for documentaries. I was sure Stern would have appeared in a few movies as himself... Speaking of morbid - convinced that if Donald Trump was able to go back in time to kill baby Hitler that Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi would end up charging him with infanticide... Sportswriters please take note - I will NOT be participating in this year's NBA Dunk Contest. I repeat - I will NOT be participating... I would like to put together a Taylor Swift cover band fronted by an Elvis impersonator. I would call the band Generic Ebola... So this week President Trump kills Soleimani and Joe Biden proposed banning all plastic bags. That seems to sum up the political situation in this country pretty well... And speaking of the death of Soleimani - here's a good review of the past 40-years of America dealing with Iran.

Andrew Yang should spend the rest of his campaign warchest hiring Taylor Swift to do a video of her just squirting whipped cream into the mouth of a kneeling  Andrew Yang. It may really be the only thing that could give him a significant bump in the polls... This is definitely one of my favorite Venn diagrams... Patriots fans who bemoan the fact that the team drafted Sony Michel instead of Lamar Jackson fail to realize that without Sony Michel there's no Super Bowl victory last year. I'm glad we have Michel and the Super Bowl trophy... Awesome... What if Neanderthals self-identified as Homo Sapiens? Ever think of that you Neanderthalphobic bastards?... Boston is blessed to have two 42-year old future Hall of Famers still playing at elite levels but it is disappointing that nationally people only talk about Tom Brady but not Zdeno Chara who is still playing at All-Star levels for the Bruins... And speaking of Tom Brady - with his start today he becomes the only 42-year old QB to start every game in a season in the NFL's 100-year history... GO PATS!

Speaking of Andrew Luck - pretty sure he could shave his beard and put on a pair of glasses and become 100% anonymous in almost any city in America... Heh Heh... "Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our responsibility for the future." - John F. Kennedy... TV show idea - take off on Cash Cab but contestants get into van with Snoop Dogg in back and after 10 minutes of being hotboxed they win money if they can answer questions - including what their original destination was...  Had my first Pumpkin Spice beer of the year this week. Almost made it to September...

At this point the White House Correspondents Dinner should just cease to be out of pure shame over how Russiagate has been handled. This, of course, would assume these folks had any shame to begin with... Sometimes there's little or no difference between physics and magic... Why hasn't Taylor Swift commented on the Mueller Report yet? What is she hiding?... Deep thoughts from Chris - could Dark Matter simply be the leftover quantum entanglements from the matter and anti-matter that was annihilated just after the Big Band?... Cult of Inhibitions - band name or all-inclusive singles resort?... I tried watching the new Amy Schumer Netflix special. I lasted just 15 minutes. It was awful. AWFUL!... What is Dark Matter? Even the best theories are crumbling. (Maybe that's because my hypothesis hasn't been tested yet!)

I really don't care about Taylor Swift's politics or who she's voting for but if I ever met her I would tell her how much I loved her in Friends just to maybe confuse and upset her (I have a different sense of humor)... The 100 best leadership quotes of all time (according to Inc. Magazine)... Two things Americans really don't like thinking about - our history and how our food gets made... Oral Sex in the Bible... Kevin Youkilis, the Greek God of Walks, saw 292 3-0 counts in his career and never swung at the next pitch... Buck O'Neil's life lessons... What a crazy NFL season its been so far and I think the lesson we can all learn is to not bet on NFL games. Hopefully that lesson hasn't been too expensive for you...

Personally I think the writer of the anonymous NYT opinion piece was a hold-over from the Obama Administration...  I'm still disappointed that the nickname "the Junk Mailer" doesn't show up on Brett Favre's Football-Reference.com page... "Mumble, mumble, mumble, discontention"(My favorite thing to say under my breath at meetings that run too long)... On many trips I've asked myself the same question... Why hasn't Taylor Swift spoken out about the Nike Kaepernick ad controversy? What is she hiding?... Legal brothels in Nevada have added the "Philly Special" to their "menu". (In actuality they just changed the name of their "Mexican Avalanche" offering.) Only the best for Eagles fans... Heh Heh...
