Michael Shellenberger on Joe Rogan

The recent Joe Rogan podcast with Michael Shellenberger is well worth your time. It's scary how far censorship and control by government interests had gotten in this country. Thank God Elon Musk bought Twitter and exposed the rot.

More Linky Links

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Programming vs Demon Summoning

- Michael Shellenberger also testified in Congress alongside Matt Taibbi. Michael deserves our thanks for his yeoman's work protecting our First Amendment rights.

- Rand Paul's criticism of Anthony Fauci was right all along. We owe Dr. Paul our thanks too.

- Sam Altman, OpenAI's CEO, invests $180 million on a life longevity startup. Billionaires in the past gave us universities and libraries. Today's billionaires want to give us longer and healthier lives (except Bill Gates - he wants us to eat bugs).

Biden’s Secret Promise To OPEC Backfires

In 2020, Democrats blocked Trump's proposal to buy American oil at $24 a barrel. Yesterday, a Biden official disclosed a secret offer to buy OPEC+ oil at $80 a barrel. That offer was turned down and oil will soon be at $100 a barrel.

Michael Shellenberger continues to do yeoman's work on the energy sector and the politics involved. Kudos.

It can be argued that the single decision to block refilling the SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) at $24 a barrel will cost the Democrats both the House and Senate in the 2022 midterm elections. Wonder if Chuck Schumer is still crowing about that decision.

Climate Panic Behind Energy Crisis

Michael Shellenberger's testimony in front of Congress.

At the same time, I am deeply troubled by the way concern over climate change is being used to repress domestic energy production. The U.S. is failing to produce sufficient quantities of natural gas and oil for ourselves and our allies. The result is the worst energy crisis in 50 years, continuing inflation, and harm to workers and consumers in the U.S. and the Western world. Energy shortages are already resulting in rising social disorder and the toppling of governments, and they are about to get much worse.

Well said. Read the whole post.
