Linky Links
Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- The Ontario government lost $42 million selling weed last year. How is that possible? I've also seen reports that black market weed selling for half the cost of "legal" pot in Canada.
- BangBros porn site bids $10 million for naming rights to new home of the Miami Heat. My sense of humor says "Please let this happen" while my decorum wonders "What the hell has happened to our society?"
- Heh Heh
- Are Generation IV nuclear reactors the answer to green energy? Nice look at the pros and cons (the cost) of Gen IV nuclear reactors.
- The Far Side may be making a comeback online. Doesn't sound like any new comic strips though.

Gary Larson
Happy 68th birthday to the one and only Gary Larson. His Far Side cartoons have become legendary and in the case of the Thagomizer part of the science lexicon.
Here are some of his cartoons displayed in real life.
Thank you Mr. Larson for all the laughs.
Hope you truly enjoy your birthday today.

Flotsam and Jetsam
Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
Instead of the vulgar MILF the correct linguistic term is "matronolagnia". Behold the power of a good vocabulary!... 8 rules to doing everything better... The things you learn from the Internet; "New Mexico State's first graduating class in 1893 had only one student - and he was shot and killed before graduation." Mental Floss... Yes this guy is a dumbass. But he must have known he would get hundreds of thousand of views by posting the video (someone had to post it). So is he really a dumbass?... Adolph Hitler's sister-in-law was named Bridget. Bridget Hitler. That just sounds funny to me. Like the name of an Irish punk band... Behold the power of the Thagomizer (and of the Far Side)... How to behave in real life and on the Internet in a nutshell, "Understand this, dear brothers and sisters. Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger." James 1:19...

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- The Kyoto Protocol had "no verifiable effect on the CO2 emissions" for the nations who signed on to the "treaty". Emissions trading and limits are all a sham and have nothing to do with science. Nothing at all.
- Heh heh
- Reminder of why The Far Side was so awesome
- It's the weekend - who up for a swim?
- Agree 100%!
