The Divorce Boat

Here's a free idea for Hollywood - ABC should reinvent the 80's classic The Love Boat but rename it The Divorce Boat.

On The Love Boat people fell in love and rediscovered love while the crew engaged in good natured hi-jinks. On The Divorce Boat people would get in huge fights over nothing, the ship can get attacked by pirates, cruises get plagued by weeks of terrible weather and uncooperative septic systems.  And the crew? They would be a cross between the cast of Shameless and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I think a well written dark comedy like this could be a hit. Maybe even get it on HBO so there could be nudity. Lots of nudity.

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

I predict that the Celtics' Danny Ainge signs free agent Gordon Haywood AND trades for Paul George BUT also somehow does not win NBA Executive of the Year... The Yellowstone Super Volcano still undergoing a swarm of earthquakes (and still scaring the bejeezus out of me)... Isaac the Bartender from The Love Boat is my spirit animal... Cool new plane (but what would it be used for - doesn't look like it's built for passengers)... I love these... Just as a reminder - "Britney Spears" is an anagram for "Presbyterians"... This is impressive... In September call-ups the Atlanta Braves should add "the Freeze" to the roster as a pinch runner. What a great way to support his Olympic sprinting dream (and sell a shit ton of his jerseys)...

Top 5 - Karaoke Song Choices

So the other night I was in a college bar where they had a Karaoke DJ. I didn't sing because the wait was too long (not a fan of waiting for anything) but I did have a chance to look through the song book. Here's my top 5 for songs I would have sung.

1. Dire Straits - Romeo and Juliet

2. Theme Song to The Love Boat (I'm a fun guy and this is a fun campy song)

3. Tom Petty - American Girl

4. Violent Femmes - Blister in the Sun (bringing back my college days)

5. Monty Python - Sit on My Face (OK - maybe I'd only threaten to sing this song - but I do know the words)
