WSOP

Just some quick notes on the 2004 World Series of Poker

- 2,576 entrants to this years tournament

- First place gets $5 million while second place gets $3.5 million and third gets $2.5 million (equal to what the winner got last year)

- Almost 9% of the players will at the very least get their entry money back (181st to 225th place win $10,000)

- Vince Van Patten is still alive in the tournament

- My favorite name among the players has to be Charlie Buffalo (no word if he is any relation to Charlie Tuna). There is also a Scott Adams still alive in the field (if this is the guy who writes Dilbert - then he automatically becomes my favorite poker player).

- Some notable names that have been eliminated include Chris Moneymaker, Sammy Farha (Normal Chad must be very disappointed at that development), TJ Cloutier, and Men "the Master" Nguyen.
