Top 5 - Baseball Players from Michigan

Here are who I consider the top 5 players born in Michigan.

1. Charlie Gehringer - Hall of Fame second baseman and 1937 AL MVP
2. Hal Newhouser - Hall of Fame pitcher - 7-time all-star and 2-time AL MVP
3. Kiki Cuyler - Hall of Fame outfielder with a career .321 batting average
4. John Smoltz - a future Hall of Famer in my book
5. (tie) Bobby Grich - six-time all-star and four-time Gold Glove winner (tie) Ted Simmons - 8-time all-star catcher (tie) Jim Kaat - 283 wins and a career 3.69 ERA not to mention 16 Gold Gloves

I had a three-way tie for 5th because I found it impossible to pick one (or two) of those guys over the others.
