Battery EV's vs Hydrogen Cell EV's

Interesting look at the difference between lithium battery electric vehicles and hydrogen cell electric vehicles.

As far as the environment is concerned it seems hydrogen cell cars would be the better answer but also the bigger shift from the way the world works today. There's only 48 hydrogen refueling stations in the US compared to 49,210 EV charging stations across the country.

Of the major car manufacturers - only Toyota is betting on Hydrogen cars so it doesn't take a genius to figure out who wins this battle.

Scalable hydrogen storage and transportation is one of the major barriers to hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. They also use a decent amount of rare and expensive metals in the fuel cell that may also be difficult to scale. But, from an efficiency perspective they're great.
