This 19th century painting puts the irritating gentleman on a train. The modern irritating gentleman would be a sports talk radio host. And if he was both annoying and irritating he'd be a Boston sports talk radio host the week after the Patriots lost and the Red Sox are in last place.
Good point. I think the highwater mark for WEEI was Dale & Holley with Jerry Thornton. Nowadays the only one I like is Lou Merloni.
