- UCLA fires AD Martin Jarmond. There really was no outcry among Bruins fans as many thought the move was overdue.
Semi-pro? I’m not a big sports fan but do follow the headlines, and it seems to me that with the recent payments to students for name, image and likeness college athletes are already semi-pro if not fully, so

Mostly said semi-pro tongue in cheek because NIL has made the phrase semi-pro redundant. Would ne amusing to start referring to college sports as semi-pro though as some athletes get paid and others not.
