Stuff I found amusing or interesting and thought I'd share.
- The Daily Coach on the Champion's Home. Interesting look at the humble abode of Carlos Alcaraz.
- Heh Heh - knew it! Barack Obama grew up on gay porn!
- Jonathan Turley on Christopher Wray and the FBI being weaponized against Republicans
- The Secret Service investigation into the White House cocaine was preposterous. Agreed!
Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- Ronald Speirs - Badass paratrooper or war criminal? The scene of Speirs taking over from Lt Dike from Band of Brothers gives me chills every time. (HT The Feral Irishman)
- Not a good way to convince people to buy your cars Ford
- Marc Andreessen is an interesting cat. Never read that before thought I had often heard people refer to it. I was more familiar with this Thus Spoke Zarathustra.
Goofus and Gallant shared a Super Bowl Square at last year's Rams vs Bengals game and they won! Each got $1,000 in winnings. Goofus decided to spend half his winnings on cocaine and a hooker and use the other half to catch up on some bills. Gallant was very impressed with Matt Damon's Crypto.com commercial during the Super Bowl and decided to invest his $1,000 in Bitcoin.
Now due to this week's "crypto crash" Gallant has lost more than half the value of his investment. And he still has some outstanding bills to pay. Is this the rare example of when hookers and cocaine are the better use of one's money? Or is the real lesson here not to take financial advice from Hollywood actors?
Note - I still believe in crypto currency and block chain technology. The above situation just occurred to me and I wanted to share.
Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
Why is it that the people who consider themselves the most ardent "environmentalists" seem to also have the most political signs on their lawns? Don't they see see the irony?... Heh Heh... Why do people call cocaine "blow"? Shouldn't it be called "snort"? Blow is literally the opposite of how the drug is consumed (Stevie Nicks being the exception that proves the rule)... This is why Elon Musk is awesome... The name the Washington Football Team is growing on me to the point that I think the Washington Bullets Wizards and Washington Senators Nationals should also change their names to the Washington Basketball Team and Washington Baseball Team. The Capitals can stay with their same name... Just saying but when individually Jack Nicklaus and Bobby Orr endorsed Donald Trump many sportswriters were quick to bemoan that their heroes couldn't keep silent for just a few more days but when frequent ESPN contributor and well-known rapper Lil' Wayne made the same endorsement - the predominantly white sportswriter found themselves oddly silent. They won't see the irony either...
