Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Coinbase enacted a similar "no politics" ban as Basecamp's recently enacted policy and reportedly 5% of their workforce resigned in protest (but with severance) last year. Would be really curious to see some reporter follow up and see if that 5% that resigned in protest were fully "vested" and made a killing in last month's Coinbase IPO or whether those 5% potentially made the biggest mistake of their lives. Coinbase now has a larger market cap than GM, Twitter, and FedEx... Heh Heh... For the record - I did not order the Code Red. You're goddamn right I didn't!... Ultimate Spinach would be a good name for a new cryptocurrency (or a new strain of medical marijuana)... Whenever you are thinking you are too old to start something new - remember that famed SCUBA diver Jacques Cousteau didn't learn to swim until he was 40-years old...

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Whenever you're thinking you are too old for a new endevour  remember that famed scuba-diver Jacques Cousteau didn't learn to swim until he was 40-years old... This was one impressive throw!... "I got some new underwear today. Well new to me." - Emo Phillips... This is another example of why Marcus Smart is among the most popular Celtics players. How can you not like Marcus Smart?... A blonde is a blonde, A redhead is a redhead and a brunette is a brunette. But what do you call a woman with black hair? You don't call her a "black head" and you certainly don't call her a "black"... Heh heh - drunk female fruit fly sluts... The JAWS character Captain Quint's name means "fifth" in Latin. In the movie he was the fifth person killed by the shark...

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Do you remember when NHL game sevens used to be exciting nail biters?... It comes as no surprise that Russia cheated during the Sochi Olympics... Today's word for the day is "holoholo" which is Hawaiian for "to ramble for pleasure"... The arguments in Boston about Ted Williams vs David Ortiz are ridiculous. Has anyone ever said about Ortiz, "There goes the best hitter who ever lived?" Ortiz versus Yaz however... File under the more things change the more they remain the same... If I were to run a scam it would to be as a pet fish medium. How could anyone prove you weren't actually in communication with a beloved deceased goldfish?... Who knew? Jacques Cousteau didn't learn to swim until he was forty years old. Do kids today even know who Jacques Cousteau was?... Interesting look at the science behind why living things age and die...

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Great look at how things went sour for Tom Thibodeau...  Who knew? Jacques Cousteau didn't learn to swim until he was 40-years old... Great news - study says drinking doesn't affect performance at work... Any story that begins with, "Me and this guy from Germany" immediately has got my interest... Cool - a snail drinking from a bubble... Instead of Lay's Potato Chips - I'm going to come out with Lady's Potato Chips. The only flavor will be Salt 'n Vinegar... Who knew part two? The last battle of the Civil War, the Battle of Palmito Ranch, was a Confederate victory... The real Jurassic World - this is a baby Blue Heron...
