Team Purple would be a good name for a new third-party political organization. Not Team Red and not Team Blue but a centrist party with the best of both. Team Purple would also be a good name for a political blog that objectively looks at both the Democrats and Republicans...  Patriots defensive coach Jarod Mayo had an interview with Philadelphia as a candidate for their open head coaching position. Mayo is held in very high regard in New England and I could easily see him as potentially the next head coach of Tennessee where he's an alumni (haven't seen this prediction anywhere)... Don't the people in the GEICO pipes commercial own a gun? Problem solved...When Einstein graduated from our equivalent of high school - he finished second in his class. The name of the person who was valedictorian is lost to history. I can't help but think of someone back then saying, "Sure Albert Einstein was pretty smart but you should have seen this other guy"... No actor has ever looked worse running than Liam Neeson. Seriously -he runs like he's trying to hold in a crap...

Sex tape pioneer Rob Lowe turned 50 yesterday. He was way ahead of the video curve that guy... Interesting argument from FanGraphs about Tigers better off not signing Stephen Drew... Last time I went to a Waffle House our waitress quit mid-shift before we got half our food or our bill. The manager was nice enough to give us a 10% discount for our trouble. A real prince among men that guy... Heh heh - if you flip a photo of bats hanging upside down - they look like they are having a wicked dance-off... The Phillies are said to be shopping Jimmy Rollins. If Philadelphia chipped in part of Rollins 2014 salary of $11 million - this could be something worth Detroit looking into... Have to wonder if Liam Neeson's Non-Stop was the inflight movie of MH370. Could explain some things... Interesting piece of WWI history I wasn't aware of... Gary Kasparov makes a good point - if Putin really is so popular in Russia why is he so afraid of free elections and a free media?... Very cool - the song of the hummingbird in super slo-motion... If the day after Christmas can be known as Boxing Day why can't the day after St. Patrick's Day be known as Hangover Day?...

If I had a Hall of Fame vote - I'd vote for Rickey Henderson, Jim Rice and Andre Dawson.... Terence Stamp (probably best remembered as Sir Larry Wildman in the movie Wall Street) has a brother Chris who was a long time manager of the rock band The Who... Not for nothing but if you just bet the underdogs in all of the bowl games to date - you'd have 18 wins vs 14 losses. Put another way - if you bet $100 per game you'd be up $260 if you factor in the "vig." This doesn't include Notre Dame which opened as a 1.5 point underdog but was a 1.5 point favorite on the day of the game... 1475 days til the end of the Obama Presidency but just 89 til Opening Day in baseball... No actor looks worse running than Liam Neeson. Seriously - he runs like he's trying to hold in a crap... Everyone is talking about how tonight's GMAC Bowl is going to a shootout but I don't know. The over/under right now is 73 points. I may not touch this game at all but if were to place a small wager - it would probably be on the under (just a feeling)...
