Sturgis and Covid-19

It's now been almost 3-weeks since the start of the Sturgis bike rally. If there had been a massive "super-spreader" Covid-19 outbreak don't you think that would have been major news by now? Is this a dog that doesn't bark?

The best CNN can do is: Experts feared the Sturgus Motorcycle Rally could be a superspreading event. More than 70 coronavirus cases are already linked to it. OMG! More than 70 cases out of more than 500,000 people who attended the rally? Why that's an infection rate of 0.00014 - quick shut down the country!

I've had enough of the fear-mongering.

  1. This struck me in the article:

"Sixty-one percent of counties in the US have been visited by someone who was at Sturgis, Camber Systems, which collects and analyzes cell phone activity for health researchers, told CNN."

Have a look at Camber Systems. Perhaps George Orwell was an optimist.
