I would argue that the unraveling of NYC actually started prior to the pandemic. I'd argue that AOC and her political ilk chasing away Amazon and their 25,000 jobs was actually the beginning of the end... Likewise the demise of NBA TV ratings didn't start with ridiculous "social message" jerseys or putting "Black Lives Matter" on the court - it's something that has been unraveling for years. Going to an NBA game also hasn't been affordable for an average American family for some time. Is it any surprise that many feel little interest in watching something on TV that they can't afford to see in person? That partly explains the declining ratings but now owners like Mark Cuban seem intent on chasing away the 50% of the country that votes Republican. There's a reckoning coming for NBA ratings... All Aboard Heaven's Choo Choo... I'm still surprised nobody has come out with a Tickle-Me Michael Jackson doll. That would be one of the top gag gifts of all-time...
