Last night New England beat the Jets 27-14. It was a great win with Gronk signing his ceremonial one-day contract and all but I'll be honest - not a fan of the new Nor-easter uniforms. They look like someone bought a jersey but ran it through the washer too many times until the color faded. Stick to the blue and occasional red Pat Patriot uniforms.

No one wants to acknowledge that the Pats are playing a soft 4th place schedule and have exactly 2 good wins this year. They are this years Washington. Plus, all of this fawning over ' best record' is just silly without mentioning they've played A) more games than everyone because Thursday not Sunday, B) more games because bye week, or C) both. In a league with so few games, until bye weeks are over, it make more sense to compare fewest losses rather than more wins, and on that they are tied with five other teams, and have played the most creampuff schedule of the six.
ReplyDeleteOh I well know the Pats record is largely a result of their easy schedule. But you have to admit that wins over Buffalo in Buffalo and the Bucs in Tampa can't both be flukes. I don't expect them to win it all but am enjoying the ride (just not last night's uniforms)
