Happy 150th Birthday to the Periodic Table
Today marks the 150th "birthday" of Dmitri Mendeleev's periodic table. I would put this "discovery" on par with Newton's "discovery" of gravity or Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

The Periodic Table Turns 150
This year will mark the 150th anniversary of Dmitri Mendeleev's creation of the Periodic Table (March 6th to be exact).
I, personally, put this "discovery" on par with Newton's "discovery" of gravity or Einstein's Theory of Relativity. That's how important I think the creation of the Periodic Table has been to the furtherment of science and our understanding of the world.
Happy Sesquicentennial Periodic Table!
