Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Oregon Governor sues Trump Administration in bid to stop National Guard deployment in Portland. Think its misleading to say "Oregon" as if all citizens in the state are pro Antifa or crime.

- How to respond to China's growing nuclear capability. Quickly becoming my "go-to" source for all things US Navy related.

- Matt Taibbi's Senate testimony on surveillance. Agree that ending Quiet Skies should just be the beginning.

- Is this satire?

China Weaponizes Health Passports

China bank protest stopped by health codes turning red. "COVID" surveillance infrastructure used to stifle dissent. Who didn't see this coming?

"Don't trust China - China is asshole!" And don't let people talk you into following China's lead. No health passports and no cashless societies.

Is This a Good Idea?

On the surface this seems like a good idea but I have questions. First you have all the surveillance cameras needed to watch who is going at or under the speed limit with the intelligence to identify the car and who owns it. Are these surveillance cameras also being used to hand out speeding tickets? Or is there a police officer doing that? Should we really be rewarding people for obeying the law? Doesn't this have a Big Brother feel to it - a Benevolent Big Brother but Big Brother all the same? I have questions.
