What came first - the Elf on a Shelf phenomenon or the NSA spying on all your data? The two seem to be related. Maybe the NSA invented Elf on a Shelf in order to get all new generations used to being watched all the time... As we enter the Christmas season a gentle reminder - if you play The Christmas Shoes on the jukebox I should be allowed to throw darts at you. No exceptions!.. Confession: I have never seen the movie A Christmas Story. No plans to see it this year either... Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Pud Galvin was born on Christmas Day 1856. Taking a page from the books of others - I am placing the blame for the Pats loss Sunday to the Steelers squarely on Global Warming.
