- Interesting $100,000 contest - a censorship-resistant Inflation Dashboard that doesn't rely on government data. Those two components - being censorship-resistant and not relying on government data are so key (sadly just as much for US data as for China's).

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.
What came first - the Elf on a Shelf phenomenon or the NSA spying on all your data? The two seem to be related. Maybe the NSA invented Elf on a Shelf in order to get younger generations used to the idea of being spied on all the time... Still makes me chuckle... The phrase "get bent" is supposedly short for "you should get bent over so that someone can sodomize you on Christmas." Oh those wacky Brits and their holiday spirit!... File under "Fake but Accurate"... I seriously would like to see Disney do a re-make of Team America: World Police just to see what their version would look like...
