Many sports pundits are rightfully crucifying the monster Dr Nassas and Michigan State but it bugs me that many of these same people were silent when it was revealed that Philly sportswriter Bill Conlin was a serial child molester... Just posting this without comment... Still blows my mind that Ronald Reagan was the first choice to play Rick Blaine in the classic movie Casablanca... Am I the only one who loses sleep over concern about Tom Brady's lack of a playoff beard?... Superb Owl LII is now my superhero name... Wallaby Pockets would be a good name for a young adult lit hero character... "Loki Never Forgets an Insult" would make a great Trump 2020 campaign slogan...
Bill Conlin was never convicted at trial; Dr. Nassar was. Perhaps that explains the difference in the commentary?
ReplyDeleteConlin's accuser was also of the grudge/blackmail 30year old charges that can never be proven variety.
ReplyDeleteConlin had multiple accusers including his own freaking niece who was a prosecutor in Atlantic City. He was a scumbag
ReplyDeletechris: Agreed that Conlin was a scumbag. My point tried to suggest why people where quiet at the time of his accusation. Nassar's trial and the revelations of his accusers were public and widely known; the actions/statements of the judge provided a certainty that was not there when people might have climbed all over Conlin for his actions. I was not trying in the least to excuse Bill Conlin in any way.
