An audit found half of Joe Biden's 22 million Twitter followers were fake. The same firm did an audit on Elon Musk's 93 million followers and found that 70% of those were fake as well.
Elon was trying to buy Twitter but concern over the number of fake accounts caused him to put the purchase on hold. Twitter says less than 5% of users are fake but this audit just found 76 million.
Twitter executives have a lot of explaining to do.
