Comparing the two, might I suggest that the writer (King Solomon?) said more and said it better in Ecclesiates.
I find that a lot of Naval's wisdom is ancient quotes that he's internalized and made his own in a way he can explain to the modern ear. I have no problem with that as it's the idea that's important - not who may have first said it.I'll have to look up the Ecclesiastes version.
