Top 5 - New Wave Songs

This is a different type of Top 5 list because these aren't actually my Top 5 New Wave songs. Instead these are the five songs I'd suggest adding to Cultural Offering's New Wave playlist. List in no particular order. Enjoy:

1. Fascination Street - The Cure
2. Straight to Hell - The Clash
3. Hey Saint Peter - Flash N the Pan
4. Bedbugs and Ballyhoo - Echo and the Bunnymen
5. Love Spreads - Stone Roses

These were basically off the top of my head but they are songs I regularly would play on a bar's jukebox. Also not sure if The Clash technically counts as "New Wave" but Combat Rock came out in 1982 so I'm going to count it. There's many, many other songs that could be added. Great period for music.

- Alabama 3 - I Ain't Going to Goa. If the sound seems familiar its because this is the band who did the opening theme song to The Sopranos.

- Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.

- Flash and the Pan - Hey Saint Peter. A forgotten hit from the 70's complete with cheesy video.

- Dire Straits - Lady Writer
