Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- RFK Jr. on the American Academy of Pediatricians and vaccines. "First do no harm" has been replaced by "show me the money" even by doctors who treat children.

- Is this satire or true?

- Are utility company middlemen the villains behind higher electric bills? Not AI datacenters as reported.

- Agree 100% that security clearance is a privilege and not a right. No reason for anyone to still have clearance after leaving the job or retiring.

More Linky Links

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- The Robot in the Mirror. Slightly disagree - think if you are able to produce both speed and quality you have a big advantage in today's environment. And well crafted emails can give you a leg up in most organizations and can become part of your permanent record.

- Monty Python's Life of Brian came out 46-years ago.

- Jonathan Turley: Washington DC and retrocession. But then what would they complain about?

- The Russia Hoax, then Adam Schiff, and the Biden DOJ.

Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- What Americans can learn from hyperinflation in Weimar Germany. Those who don't learn from history are often doomed to repeat it.

- The dawn of play. Long but interesting read - what is the link between play and society? Is play necessary for creativity? What happens if play is repressed?

- Think the idea of media ride-alongs on DC patrols is genius.

- Glenn Reynolds on the next target for our arrogant, ignorant, "experts:" organ donors. RFK Jr. is right - this is horrifying.

Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- New Jersey's electric bills tripled and could cost Democrats the state. And if they rely on corporate media they may not realize that prices and taxes are going down in the rest of the country.

- Trump take-over renews questions over DC crime data. The numbers are shameful.

- Sad but true!

- Stalin tells a story about a windbag.

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Something terribly wrong with the fact that most Americans know who Dr. Fauci is but almost none could name who the US Surgeon General is. I know I can't name the person who currently hold the position. Shouldn't that person have been the face of a medical emergency?.. Still say that Memento Mori would be a great name for a life insurance company... The population of the US in units of Canada... Disappointed the nickname "Fat Thor" never stuck for Ben Roethisberger. Maybe "Rapey Thor" would be better?... "Never play by the rules. Never pay in cash. And never tell the truth." Ross Johnson former CEO of RJR Nabisco on what he called the three rules of Wall Street. These easily could be the three rules of Washington DC as well...

Flotsam and Jetsam

Miscellaneous thoughts and observations.

Saw the movie Deadpool last night. Exactly what I expected. Really enjoyed it. Leave the young kids at home... So true... Hollywood is so out of new ideas that they are considering screenplay for Brawny Paper Towel Guy: Origin Story... Cool - "discovering" "new species" in existing museum collections (long read)... I would be more excited for the Chinese New Year if it was the year of the Flying Monkey instead... 22-years ago today... I refuse to believe that Nicolas Cage was the original first choice to play Aragon in the Lord of the Rings trilogy... Pretty frank and sobering look at Washington DC EMS and how public service unions may be literally killing people... Calvin and Hobbes meets The Force Awakens...
