As a Red Sox fan it seems like it was last season that Hanley Ramirez was on the roster not just a couple months ago (Hanley played in 44 games this year before being waived)... Heh heh - love this...  Martyred by Raccoons would be a good name for a band (or a grisly way to die)... Should Zach Thomas be in the Hall of Fame? I always equated Thomas and Brian Urlacher as basically the same player. I'd say yes - Zach Thomas belongs in the Hall... Illegal immigrant rapes a child after being released by the City of Philadelphia because of their "sanctuary city" "status". Firmly believe that the elected officials responsible here should be sued by victims of crimes like these. Make them financially responsible for their actions... Things I'll never understand - people who are mean to their waiter or waitress and people who hate dogs (though I'm not equating the two things in any way)... Heh heh - now I want this painting...

Saw the movie Deadpool last night. Exactly what I expected. Really enjoyed it. Leave the young kids at home... So true... Hollywood is so out of new ideas that they are considering screenplay for Brawny Paper Towel Guy: Origin Story... Cool - "discovering" "new species" in existing museum collections (long read)... I would be more excited for the Chinese New Year if it was the year of the Flying Monkey instead... 22-years ago today... I refuse to believe that Nicolas Cage was the original first choice to play Aragon in the Lord of the Rings trilogy... Pretty frank and sobering look at Washington DC EMS and how public service unions may be literally killing people... Calvin and Hobbes meets The Force Awakens...

I think the NFL should stand firm and suspend Odell Beckham Jr. for this Sunday's game... WFT? Actor Nicolas Cage agrees to return stolen skull of dinosaur Tyrannosaurus bataar to Mongolia...  I'm starting to think Leonardo DiCaprio is "protesting too much" that he didn't get "raped" by a bear. Was it consensual?... Nice math trick - if you divide 1 by 998,001 you get all three digit numbers from 000 to 999 in order... Speaking of dinosaurs - Plesiosaurs may have swum like penguins... Black Hermione would be a great name for a band... "Ball Peen Hammer" sounds like it could be a sex act from the Urban Dictionary. Is "peen" ever used in any other phrase?... Yes this is the GIF of the year...  I should note that I'm in a Fantasy Football final and I'm playing against a guy who is starting Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. Suspend the bastard!...

Every military action by the US since Vietnam has at some point been called a quagmire by the media. How come social "wars" are never called quagmires? The War on Drugs is a quagmire, the War on Women is a quagmire, etc... Even making tea is dramatic when Alan Rickman is involved. Kinda long video but I thoroughly enjoyed it... If Mitt Romney wins the popular vote but loses in the Electoral College - will the mainstream media chime in that Obama was "selected and not elected"?... Speaking of President Obama - his recent pronouncement on gay marriage may hurt him at the polls. The independent vote is the key... Nicolas Cage is an Oscar winning actor. That's like Barack Obama being a Nobel Prize winner - right?... Social Darwinism? Is that like Social Drinking? I only believe in evolution when with friends and then only in moderation. And never when I'm alone... Interesting history - some evidence supports theory that gay marriage within early Catholic Church was no big deal...
