Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- The Earth's magnetic field is reversing. Science has no idea what effect this will have on our climate.
- The trade war hits China where it hurts. "The tariffs are working. Big tech companies are taking their manufacturing out of China; retailers are pulling out as well." I imagine if China takes a violent hard line dealing with Hong Kong that many more companies will look to do business elsewhere. You may also start hearing those "Free Tibet" protests once again.
- And speaking of manufacturers exiting China.
- Interesting look at the man who is tasked with trying to save Barnes & Nobles. Hat tip to A Layman's Blog (one of my daily reads)
- Interesting reflections on a pilgrimage to Ian Fleming's grave.
- Great point on the Nobel Prize for Literature
- Io's volcanic tides. As an aside Volcanic Tides would be a good name for a band.
Chris Lynch's slanted view on sports, politics and entertainment. Please send thoughts or comments to chris.lynch@gmail.com

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- In Trump's first 30 months over 314,000 manufacturing jobs have been added in comparison to Obama's Administration. Wait - I thought we were told those jobs weren't coming back?
- I consider myself a proponent of marijuana but to ignore the possible harmful side-effects is foolish. (I also consider myself a proponent of alcohol but those negative side-effects are better understood and documented.)
- Today would have been Vera Rubin's 91st birthday. She should have won the Nobel Prize for her discovery and confirmation of the the existence of Dark Matter.
- Maybe we should skip manned missions to Mars and go to Jupiter's moon Io instead.
- Wow - is 3.6 septillion yottawatts of power a lot of power? Sounds like a lot.
- Netflix hit with class action shareholder lawsuit following dismal Q2 earnings
- Cool Boris Johnson story.

- Interesting - water found in Jupiter's Great Red Spot. Precursor for life on the largest planet?
- Wasps are getting drunk and terrorizing people in England. Its like one of Orwell's lesser known stories come to life.
- Maggie understood
- What they don't tell you was the article was sponsored by the Big Cucumber lobby
- Wow - it's scary how much personal data Google is accumulating. I guess "Don't be evil" is right out the window.
- Can't see how Kavanaugh doesn't get on the Supreme Court
- Elizabeth Warren's plan to nationalize corporations. Scary! I USED to think some aspects of Atlas Shrugged were far-fetched.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- Gregg Allman was a one-of-a-kind talent. The world is a poorer place with his passing.
- These freediving photos are really cool
- Juno spacecraft finding Jupiter not as predicted
- Heh heh
- Scientists are learning more and more about what actually makes up the Earth's crust and core.
- Big fan of Donald Rumsfeld

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.
- Arian Foster is out there and LOVING IT! TMI but I've been commando for 4-years now.
- Fantastic Kliff Kingsbury anecdote
- Very cool - fantastic new information about the planet Jupiter
- Pop Warner football now facing concussion law suits
- Good question - just exactly how fast was this duck going?
- Interesting - I think most people have heard that cell phone signals are killing the bees but the real culprit seems to be Asian mites.

- In the wake of Kevin Durant signing with the Warriors - a look at other NBA superstars who left their original teams to chase a title. Not listed was Charles Barkley who forced a trade out of Philadelphia after 8-years with the 76ers to chase a title with Phoenix
- Remember - Elizabeth Warren from January of this year
- This was a good point regarding the FBI and Hillary.
- Amazing - after 5-years Juno arrives in orbit around Jupiter. Even more amazing - Juno arrived one second off predicted arrival.
- I am an awful person for laughing at and re-posting this
