- Navy fires coach Ken Niumatolo after 15-years. Did not see that coming. Guess he lost to Army once too many times. 

- How Fauci Fooled America. Significant to me that this appears in Newsweek (not exactly a right wing outlet - now that Fauci is no longer useful will the media abandon him?)

- Report - US scientists achieve "holy grail" nuclear fusion reaction. This is huge news.

- Twitter Files 4 - the removal of Donald Trump. Perhaps least interested in this Twitter file than any of the others. Maybe because Trump's Twitter account was restored but the Donald showed no interest in rejoining the platform?

There're Coming for Fauci

Not just Elon Musk and Twitter going after Anthony Fauci.

Rand Paul will be going after him in the Senate, "Fauci's resignation should not prevent a full-throated investigation into the origins of the pandemic. He must be required to testify under oath regarding any discussions he participated in concerning the Wuhan lab leak. His policies destroyed lives." 

And in Congress a bi-partisan group of lawmakers are demanding answers about taxpayer funded torturing of dogs he approved. The man tortured puppies.

Bari Weiss Twitter Files Reveal Systematic 'Blacklisting'

Reason does a nice job of laying out how Bari Weiss' Tweet Thread shows how Twitter employees shadow banned users.

A few observations on the Twitter Files:

• What was done in the darkness is being brought out into the light and what it's showing is not a cold sore - it's herpes
• As both Matt Taibbi and Bari Weiss primarily publish on Substack - that platform is perhaps the biggest winner here. Substack will shortly become the most trusted source of journalism in the country
• Elon Musk, however, wisely stipulated that whatever information is found must first be published on Twitter which I'm sure is driving up engagement (and trust) on his platform
• What's being exposed at Twitter (pre-Elon) is still happening on Facebook and YouTube. Keep that in mind when engaging on those platforms
• There is so much that needs to be exposed and will be exposed that this will be a long running series of "Twitter Files"
• Know many are anxious for the suppression of COVID related revelations to come out but I think Musk has rightly prioritized exposing how Twitter suppressed information and how the government was sometimes behind that suppression. That needs to be shown first and foremost before other issues are addressed.

Important to Remember

Sometimes History Rhymes

The expansion of Roman power raised big debates and paradoxes about Rome's place in the world, about what counted as 'Roman' when so much of the Mediterranean was under Roman control and about where the boundary between barbarianism and civilization now lay, and which side of that boundary Rome was on. When, for example, at the end of the third century BCE the Roman authorities welcomed the Great Mother goddess from the highlands of what is now Turkey and solemnly installed her in a temple on the Palatine, complete with her retinue of self-castrated, self-flagellating, long-haired priests - how Roman was that? - SPQR

Emphasis added because it sounded familiar. I feel for the ancient Roman because I can imagine him walking along the Palatine, seeing these "priests" trying to curry favor with the Great Mother goddess and him saying to himself, "WTF?"
