Jimmy Carter

This quote from Carter made me laugh:
"If you sponsor an election or promote democracy and freedom around the world, then when people make their own decision about their leaders, I think that all the governments should recognize that administration and let them form their government," Carter said.
Carter said that in defense of Hamas but what made me laugh is the fact that the US had an election in 1980 that completely refuted Carter's vision of foreign policy and every Presidential election since Carter has done his level best to undermine whoever was the duly elected President (make no mistake - even Bill Clinton thought Carter to be a meddling jackass). So instead of letting the United States pick their own leaders and let them run their own foreign policies - the Pain in the Ass from Plains Georgia has been completely "do as I say not as I do" about it. We shouldn't interfere with Hamas but Carter has no qualms with interfering with our duly-elected officials.
