More Linky Links

More stuff I've found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- And this is without inflation (HT American Digest

- Glenn Greenwald: Valid questions about the FBI's involvement in 1/6 exist. Why aren't they being answered? Not a conspiracy theorist but Occam's Razor says that the FBI was involved.

- This is scary! US nuclear weapon bunker security secrets spill from online flashcards since 2013. (HT Borepatch)

- Mike Lombardi: The Plight of "The Process." I actually feel bad for 76er fans.

  1. Calling it "The Process' was marketing bullsh!t to try and sell tickets and keep interest while the team was tanking for picks and spending no cash on players.
It failed because the team continuously drafted potential and size over actual ability. Julius Randle, Kristaps Porziņģis, Jaylen Brown or Brandon Ingram, and Lonzo Ball or Jason Tatum were available in the drafts below the slots where creakylegs (Embiid), 'fraid-to-shoot(Simmons), head-case(Fultz), and not-the-good-Okafor were picked, and that isn't hind-sighting like putting Jocic on this list would be.

  2. Agree it was marketing and also agree the scouting left a lot to be desired (to be kind). Say what you want about Danny Ainge but he saw the talent in Jaylen Brown, Jason Tatum, Isiah Thomas, Marcus Smart, and Terry Rozier. If Philly had Ainge they probably have a championship by now.

  3. When you had Ainge you also had Doc Rivers. Overcoming him to, you were lucky to win one, you should have had more ;-)
