The NFL has to be really pleased with the Giants decision to bench Eli Manning. Now millions of fans in the biggest TV market have no reason to watch the rest of the season and plenty of reason to boycott the broadcasts. But sure give Roger Goodell a new contract - that will fix everything... Speaking of Eli Manning... Does Las Vegas have the wins totals for Arizona State next season under Herm Edwards up yet? I'd like to bet the under please... Wow - this was unexpected. American Gods show runners exit and season 2 is in question... Matt Lauer was eaten by wolves today. He was not delicious... Holy crap! Trump should collectively nominate the cast of Hamilton to be Secretary of Education just to see leftists heads explode. "But they are not qualified" the media will point out. Then why are you listening to them Trump could ask... I love Mitt Romney. People who see cheap in that picture and not humble just don't get it... Quote of the day: "I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened."- Mark Twain...  A day late but still worth remembering... I don't want a drone. I want the mechanical owl from the first Clash of the Titans movie... This is true (and sad)... Reading Charlie Pierce's post election Tweets - I can't help but picture him going naked Howard Hughes peeing into glass jars insane because the election didn't go his way... Am I the only one who reads this report and immediately thinks of Breaking Bad?... I would love to hear Adele cover Ted Nugent's Stranglehold... I'm still disappointed that Conor McGregor wasn't signed to play Mad Sweeney in American Gods... This is also true (and sad)...

It would be amusing if the news about Tim Tebow wanting to play pro baseball was an elaborate prank by Jimmy Kimmel... And you thought Donald Trump's Tweets were crazy... Groin Tightness would be a good name for a boy band... In related Olympics news - Roger Goodell and the NFL have announced they are suspending Michael Phelps for the first four races of the 2020 Olympic Games for "reasons"... Cool - guy on stationary bike is cycling through the UK in virtual reality... I think the Yankees should sign Tim Tebow to help with their sagging ticket sales... Heh heh - awesome!... Just saying but Tebow is basically the same age as when Ichiro first tried to play Major League Baseball in the US... Nixon's Haircut would be a good name for a band (or a tax deduction)... Ian McShane is shaping up for a monster 2017. First there's his starring role in American Gods and at about the same release time he has a supporting role in John Wick: Chapter Two...

Connor McGregor

So Nate Diaz choked out Connor McGregor at UFC 196 last night but remember the Irishman is still the 145 weight class champion and still he has the best entrance song in sports (The Foggy Dew by Sinead O'Connor).

I also say McGregor would be perfect to play Mad Sweeney in the upcoming adaptation of Neil Gaiman's American Gods.
