Linky Links

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Jackie Gleeson's UFO house (as mentioned in the Joe Rogan podcast).

- Tulsi Gabbard's opening statement in her confirmation hearing. She is taking no prisoners. If you vote "No" on her - you are in fact voting in favor of one of the things she just listed.

- VDH on Mexico: Friend, Enemy, or Something Else? I'd also support anyone found smuggling fentanyl to be charged with attempted murder and shipped to Guantanamo Bay.

- Cyan Bannister on Optimism and Pessimism. She went from homeless to a billionaire so it would be wise to listen to her.

More stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Truflation is a site you should check periodically.

- Matt Taibbi on Facebook allowing the Biden White House to censor content.

- I wasn't aware I was in need of a new conspiracy theory but there you go.

- Shocker - not one 8th grade student at Lebron James' I Promise School has passed state's math test in 3-years. Either these scores are due to the school only being 5-years old, the school starting in 8th grade (and the failure is really on who was "teaching" the students before) or James is much better at PR than education. Not sure.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- Dan Carlin on UFO's - can we handle the truth? As an aside "Contact with Non-Human Entities" would be a good name for a fetish dating site.

- Found my spirit animal

- Travel and Leisure's Top Place to Go in 2023. (HT Tim Ferriss)

- Sean Peyton is not holding anything back on how bad the 2022 Broncos were. This is just putting more pressure on him to succeed.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- I've long been fascinated by Joe Bonaparte of New Jersey

- The Navy just filed patents for new unbelievable weapons. Brings to mind the Arthur C. Clarke quote, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." Or in this case UFO science-fiction.

- Interesting - Janet Yellen's ethics agreement specifically mentions Citadel as a potential conflict of interest. The GameStop story won't be going away anytime soon.

Death of a City: The Portland Story? Another factor to consider - are the retirement funds for public workers funded or unfunded? Unfunded mandates like pensions could be the quickest way for any city to commit suicide.

Stuff I found interesting or amusing and thought I'd share.

- A brief history of Disney

- And speaking of Disney - Disney+ gets over 10 million subs just two days after launching. Goal is 60-90 million subs.

- I've always been skeptical of UFO's but now I'm starting to believe.

- Verizon and Motorola are bringing back the Razor Flip Phone. I do miss my old Razor but I'm not paying $1,500 for a new one.

- Entitlement liabilities are a graver threat to the next generation of Americans than climate change. And if they live in a Blue State wait till they learn that many of those generous pensions given out to public unions are also under or unfunded (and they are expected to pay the bill)

Stuff I found interesting and thought I'd share.

- This "fishing" video was just plain fun to watch

- Very cool business idea. I think this is a winner. I remember years ago when those beepers for when your table was ready first came out and this idea trumps that hands down.

- Neil deGrasse Tyson on UFO's

- HBO's upcoming series Luck looks really good. Big fan of David Milch.

- The NHL re-signs with Versus (or whatever NBC decides to call the channel) for another 10 years
