If there's one thing Black Lives matter has taught us is that the political correctness police these past few decades have been pulling our legs in trying to force people to say "African-American" instead of "Black"... The next time a Canadian politician or even the Prime Minister criticizes the US some Senator should introduce a bill offering the Western Canadian Provinces a path to Statehood to see how that goes over in Canada... Who knew? In the mid 18th century London versions of the play King Lear had a happy ending where Cordelia doesn't die but instead falls in love with and marries Edgar and lives happily ever after. Not until 1838 was the tragic ending restored... Would love to see Hugh Jackman star in a live action Samurai Jack movie... Wish I could get odds that Joe Biden's initial announced VP pick (whoever that ends up being) will have to be walked back and replaced (for whatever reason). That would be peak 2020. I'd need at least 100-1 odds to put real money on the proposition... NJ Governor Murphy announces no fans at Giants or Jets games this season. And the NYC economy takes another big hit (fans going to those games weren't staying in NJ)... "Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. OK I'll say it! It is slightly hilarious to watch white people who until last week had never heard of Juneteenth trying to virtue signal on social media that they support making Juneteenth a national holiday... Interesting - SpaceX submits application to offer Starlink broadband service in Canada... I propose that we stop saying we are in a pandemic and start saying we are in a "virus panic"... Why don't we just cut to the chase and rename everything after Benjamin Franklin? He was the most laudable and progressive of the Founding Fathers. His biggest sin is he may or may not have participated in orgies and adultery... Heh Heh... The latest Gallup Poll shows the New York Jets are public favorites to win the next Super Bowl (because people always tell pollsters what they really think)... My new favorite exclamation is "That's how babies are made!" Make a long putt, "That's how babies are made!" Make a great pool shot, "That's how babies are made!" Try shouting it sometime...

Since the indictments were out of Boston part of me wondered if the college admissions scandal was part of either a long-game revenge on the part of Harvard University or a master prank pulled off by MIT. Both are certainly possibilities... "We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same." - Carlos Castaneda... Socialism in a nutshell... How funny would it be if it turns out William H. Macy dimed out his wife, Felicity Huffman, in the college admissions scandal because he thought it would be cheaper than a divorce and he thought this way he could get custody of the kids. That would be just the thing one of the characters he's played would do... Heh heh - awesome!... Wish there was a place that I could bet that the combined win totals of the Giants and Jets will not equal the Patriots wins next season. That would be almost guaranteed money... And speaking of the Patriots, an under appreciated aspect of them extending a contract offer to Josh Gordon is that it allows the team to continue to financially support his treatment costs. Getting Gordon's life back in order is the priority and the Patriots stepped up to help make that happen...

It still bugs me that the Patriots last second loss in Miami cost them home-field advantage this Sunday against the Chiefs... Good news - science says that drinking coffee is good for your long term life expectancy... If Andy Kaufman were alive today I'm convinced that instead of Tony Clifton his alter-ego would be an equally obnoxious extreme SJW... Interesting - how does Netflix actually make money?... One aspect of the projected bone-chilling cold in Kansas City this Sunday is that it should negate much of the home-field advantage for the Chiefs. Tough to be loud when you are literally muffled in extra layers of clothes... I'll never look at Adam Gase the same again... Any Democrat who used Cindy Sheehan's grief over the death of her son for political purposes should be made to face and answer to the Angel Moms who have had a child murdered by an illegal immigrant...

Darrelle Revis

While we are waiting to hear what the legal outcome will be for Darrelle Revis knocking out two guys in Pittsburgh and if the NFL will do anything about the fact that the Jets ABSOLUTELY tampered with Revis prior to him being a free agent - I thought I'd look back on a couple of predictions I made two seasons ago.

If you are into player comparisons think of Revis signing with the Jets this way; they basically just got Deion Sanders age and performance-wise during the last 4 years of his career. There was no fifth year because Deion was cooked by then.

Looks like old and washed up Deion Sanders would have been a best-case scenario. Revis may be done with the Jets after just 2-seasons.

And a prediction I made prior to the 2015 season:

Darrelle Revis will not make either first team NFL All Pro or second team All Pro. If he makes it on the Pro Bowl team it will because of his past performance. Revis was beat often in the playoffs last season (Steve Smith Sr. abused him) something not lost on the Patriots or more important on the rest of the NFL (except the Jets).

Turns out that he did make the Pro Bowl in 2015 on reputation alone but did not sniff an All Pro selection in either of the past two years.

Bill Belichick absolutely made the right decision to let Revis scurry away to New York. Once again showing why the Patriots are the Patriots and the Jets are the Jets.
