- CDC to drop "gold standard" COVID test: PCR risks false positives. This should be bigger news but it also begs the questions like "if a job site had to be closed down due to a false positive - is anyone liable for that?" Or "if an athlete has to withdraw from a competition due to a false positive what's their recourse?" Guessing the answer is nobody is responsible for anything so sorry better luck next time

Which politician will emerge as the American Moses with a simple slogan of "Let my people go (out of COVID lockdowns)" - that's a powerful political message... On the spot marriage proposal... Kind of miss the giant paper mache heads protesters used to wear in the 80's... Actor Scott Baio did not act in Hollywood from 2015 to 2021. Was he "cancelled" by Hollywood during those years due to his vocal Trump support? Was he secretly part of the Trump Administration and too busy to work? Or was he not getting any work because he has the acting skills of a Scott Baio? Inquiring Minds want to know... If they started calling them "the Trump vaccines" (he did institute Operation Warp Speed after all) - would that make some vaccine hesitant people more likely to get them? And would it make some others instantly regret getting their shots?...

Can we stop describing something as a "War on" (Drugs, Terror, etc.) or describing something as an "Apocalypse"  (remember the recent Bee Apocalypse?). Things described thusly always seem misguided or flat out wrong... In the Seven Years War, for every man who died in battle for England, an incredible 87 died of disease. If only General Fauci had been there and ordered them to wear masks!... Who had Mexico emerging as the voice of reason?... People tend to forget that India is a nuclear power and Beijing is well within range of New Delhi's missiles... It's been a year - wonder how Jeremy Roenick's lawsuit against NBC for wrongful termination is progressing?...  North Carolina also has a voice of reason... Analysis true: "It started out as a virus and mutated into an IQ test"...

I'm curious to see if major unions like the NFLPA or the government workers unions cave to vaccine mandates or if they stand up for their members who do not want to be forced to get a vaccine to save their jobs... Gourmand Winos would be a good name for a band... Perhaps the trade of Russell Westbrook to the Lakers was a distraction tactic by LeBron James to make people look away from how much of a dumpster fire Space Jam II is. Plausible theory... If the NFL in effect bans non-vaccinated players could they also ban vegan players while they're at it? That might get my support... Really random thought; in old western movies you'd never see John Wayne or Gary Cooper in a whorehouse. Henry Fonda? Sure. Jimmy Stewart? Maybe (he did run one in The Cheyenne Social Club)...

Everyone on social media should remember this quote from Suraj Parmar, "Not your server, not your posts or videos." This is so true and you are foolish to think otherwise... Here's an idea for Hollywood; a re-make of Oh! Calcutta! but starring characters from Avatar. Admit it - you'd check that out just out of curiosity if nothing else. I would and that's coming from someone who has never seen either of those movies... Funny because it's true!... Remember - there is a difference between civility and conformity... Business idea - a version of Twitter but just for posts about politics. I'd suggest calling it the Manure Bank... The Dancing Turtle would be a good name for a bar... Get well Tito! Terry Francona is by far my favorite Red Sox manager in my lifetime. He was treated badly on the way out the door in Boston which has not been forgotten by many fans...

If I were a billionaire I'd hire the actor from Game of Thrones to follow Nancy Pelosi around at all public appearances, ringing her bell and saying, "Shame! Shame!"... I may be an awful person but I thought this was hilarious... Have you ever noticed that the same people who say they would never step foot in a Walmart because of how Walmart treats their employees, "the people of Walmart" or what Walmart did to small businesses in small towns also seem to be the same ones who get almost daily deliveries from Amazon Prime? Some serious cognitive dissonance... Sacred Drunkenness would be a good name for a band (or a new religion)... Here's a business idea for Big Pharma - why not just combine the COVID vaccines with heroin? Really get people addicted to "booster shots." Imagine what that would do for the bottom line... Random admission from a middle-aged guy: all my FaceTime calls from my iPhone are either butt dials or calls with tech support... BTW I have nothing against either Walmart or Amazon - just not a fan of hypocrisy
