Two years ago today, Hurricane Isabel struck the Eastern Seaboard. This little tidbit has always struck me as emblamatic of what our military is truly all about:
At Arlington National Cemetery, soldiers who guard the Tomb of the Unknowns were given - for the first time ever - permission to abandon their posts and seek shelter [because of Hurricane Isabel], Superintendent John Metzler said. But they stood guard anyhow. (From FoxNews.com)
