Flotsam and Jetsam

Not sure which is the dumbest statement I made over the weekend. Was it that the Broncos match up well against the Colts and to look for a close game. Or was it to look for the Detroit Tigers to come out of nowhere to sign Carlos Beltran... If Manny Ramirez stays with the Red Sox and maintains his level of production there is a very good chance that he will not only hold a number of Red Sox hitting records but also be a lock for the HOF. If he just plays out the contract (and his 2009 option is not picked up) - then he will have 8 seasons for the Sox and 8 seasons for Cleveland (granted that the first 2 seasons for Cleveland were pretty slim). I wonder what hat Manny would choose for the HOF?... Eat more beaver!...
